In January 2009, the START Project launched its final phase, Employer Reporting and Active Member Implementation. The Active Member Implementation portion will use the new START system to streamline member processes such as calculating purchases, benefits estimates, and refunds. KRS' response time to inquiries and requests will decrease, thus providing quicker and more accurate customer service for employees. Active Member Implementation will also feature a self-service website where you will be able to go online and quickly review your account information, as well as perform automated benefit calculations. You will also be able to change certain account information online.

START will enable KRS to better assist you by:
  • Enhancing our business services and improving operational efficiency
  • Offering Internet-based, self-service functions
  • Improving the accuracy of information collected, maintained, and provided by KRS
  • Improving the timeliness and accuracy of responses to members' inquiries
  • Providing our staff with modern, intelligent technology tools to deliver improved services to active members, recipients, and employers.

With all of the improvements we are planning, be assured that KRS will stay focused on our mission to provide you with the highest level of service. During the implementation of START , KRS will continue to provide the same one-on-one quality service that you have come to appreciate.
